To test hot-rolled products at high speeds
Prüftechnik NDT GmbH, Germany, has developed a new tester and water-cooled coil, Eddychek 5, to quality test hot-rolled products at speeds up to 200m/s and diameters as large as 130mm. Specialised software gives immediate feedback on production, identifying damaged rollers before they impair the quality of the product.
The equipment can be fully networked into central process control systems. The company also offers a complete range of rotating systems for the detection of longitudinal defects.
