Efficient secondary coating line
Efficient production and advanced high-fibre density cable constructions are dominating trends in today’s secondary coating processes. Reducing the cable size challenges manufacturers to employ tight tolerances and increased process control in order to guarantee stable cable performance. To optimise new cable construction process, Nextrom, Switzerland, now offers an innovative high-speed secondary coating line that features new solutions for very efficient production, minimising scrap and combined with high-speed and short set-up time. Short set-up time is based on the use of dynamic pay-off, robust fibre quick cutter and automatic fibre launching device. By using the double set of pay-offs and fibre launching device together with especially designed line lay-out, the new set of fibres are under production within 25 seconds after cutting. Fibres can be launched at high-speed to the process.
