Efficient cable packaging and rewinding lines
Specialising in the manufacture of semi-automatic and fully automatic cable packaging and rewinding lines since 1960, PS Costruzioni Meccaniche Srl, Italy, also offers pay-off stands, take-up stands, as well as units such as accumulators, dancers. thermoshrinking tunnels, labelling machines, strapping machines, pallet units etc. This range of equipment enables the complete automatic production and packaging of coiled and wound wire and cable products and can process round or flat, rigid or flexible, telephone or power cables at some of the highest speeds available on the market today.
The company’s automatic lines, produced under the Quality Certification System complying with UNI EN ISO 9002, can work either as slave to the extruder (on-line) or as independent units. Their modular structure allows the insertion of the necessary stations for the needed packaging type. Thanks to in-house design and production departments, the company’s range of highly versatile machines meets all customers’ requirements and includes:
- Semi- automatic coiling / spooling lines: PS 80 MB / MBN (for 1 to 7mm Ø cables, at speeds of up to 1.5 to 2 spools of 100m long per minute); PS 80 MB / MBN (for 4 to 15mm Ø cables, at speeds of up to 1 to 1.5 spools of 100m long per minute); PS 60 MB (for 1 to 6mm Ø cables, at speeds of 1 spool of 100m long per minute);
- Fully automatic coiling lines: PS 350/8-2 and PS 400/8-2 (for 1.5 to 8mm Ø flexible cables and 1.5 to 6mm Ø solid cables, at speeds of 6 coils of 100m long per minute); PS 400/16 and PS 470/16 (for 5 to 16mm Ø flexible cables and 5 to 10mm Ø solid cables, at speeds of 3.5 coils of 100m long per minute); PS 600/25 (for 8 to 25mm Ø flexible cables and 8 to 20mm Ø solid cables, at speeds of 3 coils of 100m long per minute); PS 750/30 (for 8 to 30mm Ø flexible cables and 8 to 12mm Ø solid cables, at speeds of 2.5 coils of 100m long per minute);
- Automatic spooling lines such as the double head spooling line model PS 200/6B for 1 to 6mm Ø flexible cables and 1.5 to 4.5mm Ø solid cables, at speeds of 4 coils of 100m long per minute); or models PS 400/14B and PS 630/14B for 4 to 14mm Ø flexible cables and 4 to 10mm Ø solid cables;
- Rewinding lines that are suitable for cable diameters ranging from 2 up to 25mm.
