Next generation cabling infrastructures
Dätwyler Cables+Systems AG, Switzerland, has introduced a new future-orientated portfolio of cabling solutions, “Keystone”, specifically addressed to the UK´s market requirements. The new systems currently comprise shielded and unshielded twisted pair Cat. 5 and Cat. 6 cables, including Uninet flex patch cords and equipment cables, a wide range of 1-port and 2-port flat and angled faceplates for mounting the Keystone RJ 45 wall outlet modules, and various 24 port patch panels. Dätwyler’s Cat 6 cables have excellent Return Loss and NEXT characteristics for optimum channel performance. Thanks to its snap-in mounting, each Keystone jack allows for an easy and fast installation. To ensure error-free cable terminations, the Keystone contacts are colour-coded according to TIA 568A and B. Keystone patch panels and faceplates offer clear port identification, thanks to port labelling, that facilitates professional network management. Dätwyler’s Keystone products fulfil the requirements according to the international standards, including TIA/EIA-568-B.2-1, ISO/IEC 11801, 2nd edition, and EN 50173-1.
Furthermore, the Swiss company provides network installers with training on the Unilan system to meet the increased technical requirements of Class E/Cat 6 cabling systems. These Unilan seminars teach participants about the correct application of products, standards and characteristics of the various parameters of cabling. When installed by an approved Unilan installer, Dätwyler offers a lifetime performance warranty on the installed solution. Measurements of the individual channel at final inspection ensure the compliance with all required electrical values.
