Pressure Wet Cleaning (PWC) system
The new in-line Pressure Wet Cleaning (PWC) system from Decalub cleans residual lubricant from wire to obtain a smooth and glossy finish. The company particularly recommends the PWC system for cleaning applications in which a traditional process is inappropriate. This could be wires drawn in severe conditions – from mechanically descaled rod or acid cleaned rod – resulting in increased heat and burned lubricant binding tightly to the wire surface and embedding in microscopic cracks.
The system provides high levels of cleanliness with dry drawn wires, without the need for acid, caustic and ultrasonic cleaning. The system operates at many different speeds, dictated mainly by the cooling capability of the wire drawing machine. The PWC system is environmentally friendly, clean and safe in operation, simple to install and use in-line with any wire drawing machine.
