On-line contour measurement for RF cables

Rosendahl has also released a new on-line contour measurement system that measures the geometry of a corrugated RF cable outer conductor at speeds of up to 50m/min. The system features an on-line monitoring of the manufactured cable by measuring the geometry of the corrugated conductor. Important cable parameters are calculated with the information from the foam process plus the on-line measured parameters. The present contours are stored in a ring buffer. The contours for the whole cable length are stored in a file for off-line evaluation. Contours triggering an alarm are stored in a separate ring buffer and also in a file for offline evaluation.
