Wayne launches brand of rebuilt extruders
According to Wayne Machine & Die its new brand of rebuilt extruders “offers up to 35% savings when compared to new equipment, without all the risks of buying ‘as-is’ used equipment”.
The Rebuilt-Red by Wayne brand gives a new choice to cost- and quality-conscious extrusion equipment users with limited budgets, the company adds. The extruders are suitable for blown and cast film, compounding, sheet, fibre, wire insulation, fibre optic sheathing, rod, profile, monofilament, tubing, filter testing and other extrusion applications.
As a result of trade-ins and open market transactions, Wayne Machine regularly acquires second-hand extrusion equipment, which was not originally manufactured
by them.
The equipment is dismantled and all components are carefully evaluated and inspected for suitability.
The components that are useable ‘as-is’, or can be rebuilt, are agglomerated into complementary machine component groups as the basis of a Rebuilt-Red by Wayne brand extrusion machine. New components are added to complete the machine.
As such, each Rebuilt-Red by Wayne brand extruder contains a mixture of used, rebuilt and new components. Each part is docu-mented, drawings are made as required and
a complete bill of materials is developed.
This ensures spare part availability in the future and all parts – including screws, barrels, mechanical transmission, electrical and all other parts – can be sourced from Wayne Machine.
The rebuilt machines are all safety tested and include all the same safety equipment that is currently supplied on Wayne’s new equipment.
