Keir goes for value-added solutions
Historically Keir was established in 1983 as a manufacturer of technical ceramic products for a variety of industries. Twenty-three years on, the company’s largest market segment
is wire and cable.
Keir produces a wide range of special ceramic guides, eyelets, and many other components. The product range includes standard in-line items as well as custom-designed parts.
The company also offers a complete line of air wipes. The Keir Frontiersman air wipes
are dependable, simple, and cost-effective, with a design that utilises the full potential of its compressed air source to optimize the drying process.

Keir provides two designs that incorporate the same concept: SureShot and SplitShot.
The SureShot, which is primarily for bare wire, consists of a polymer mounting block with a high-density, wear-resistant ceramic insert that is hand pressed into the mount and seals with O-rings.
The SplitShot has a clamshell-designed housing with ceramic inserts. For jacketed wire or cable, it opens to allow welds or extrusion bulges to pass through without damage, or is used where it is not practical to thread the wire through an air wipe
