Extension to SDB software for rolling mills
Steel Database (SDB) is a powerful additional software package for Zumbach’s Steelmaster systems with one or up to three gauges (Multigauge). This software allows all measuring
data to be archived over several weeks or even months (restricted only by the storage capacity of the hard disc). The structure is based on a MySQL database. The data to be stored can be defined through selections on the configuration screens. The selection criteria can be gauge number, measured parameter, batch number, lot number, customer name, billet number, date and so on. Information can be displayed or printed in the form of cross-sectional graphics, strip charts or numerically. The inline measurement continues in the background without any interruption or loss of data.
The SDB software can be used on the central Steelmaster PC and/or on up to ten remote PC work stations in the plant, communicating over an Ethernet TCP/IP network with Zumbach’s Remote Steelmaster software.
