Breen delivers colourful solution for auto wires
Breen Color Concentrates latest product – Ultralor EF – has been created to meet the rigorous performance demands of high temperature, thin wall insulation for automotive wire and cables.
Ultralor EF is high performance and environmentally-friendly. It is supplied as underwater cut pellets and provides wire and cable manufacturers with a range of strong, vibrant colour concentrates (including black and white).
Ultralor meets the demanding processing and environmental requirements of halogen free applications and Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) and Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) compatibility is assured.
Developed in partnership with Delphi Packard Electric Systems, this product utilises GE Advanced Materials’ Noryl resin in its ‘ingredients’.
“This is a challenging new application,” says Paul Legnetti, Breen’s Chief Technical Officer. “We worked closely with scientists and engineers from GE and Delphi to understand the performance and environmental requirements.”
Breen has more than 25 years’ experience in the field of colour formulation and has kept in the forefront of colour and pigment development through extensive R&D.;
