Kieserling cold header range joins Wafios Group

The Wafios Group has acquired the Kieserling cold header range from Schumag. The Kieserling machines will supplement the Wafios Group's own cold header range run by its subsidiary Formatech, based in Willich-Münchheide, Germany.

Highlights of the machine's operating features are: a closed cutter that makes clean wire segment cuts; adjustable shearing gap between cutter and shearing bush; transfer station in which insertion of the wire segment out of the closed cutter and into the first pair of grippers takes place; wire draw-in can be activated at any time during the operating sequence, constant full draw-in lengths being created at all times; precision cross-conveying drive; die plate and individual die block for seating of heavily reinforced hard metal tools; all machine settings are performable from the operator control stand; adjustment of the dies in three levels; connection facility for process monitoring and process data monitoring systems; and overload safety cutouts and function control of important components with automatic machine shutdown and optimum error display.

Wafios states: "These reliable machines have already been well introduced to the market and thus complement our existing product range ideally. We are thereby strengthening our market position in the multi-station cold header sector considerably, becoming the largest German supplier in this market segment. Wafios will continue to strive for market leadership by consequently improving and innovating products."
