| A full service supplier of precision metal products to the medical device industry has been established in Gort, County Galway, by Ulbrich Precision Flat Wire LLC of Westminster SC, USA.
Ulbrich Precision Metals Limited aims to work closely with medical device manufacturers in Ireland, and throughout Europe, from the product development phase through to production. Ulbrich brings 80 years of experience in the metals business. The new venture in Ireland will be guided by the needs of the medical device community. Existing capabilities will be augmented by new technologies developed to serve the needs of the customer base. Technical expertise in metals as well as supply-chain management allow medical device companies the opportunity to partner with a supplier who is focused on creating value for its customers.
The new facility will initially offer round and flat wires produced to industry leading dimensional tolerances, and spooled on state-of-the-art CNC winding equipment. Ulbrich is experienced in working with a variety of stainless steels, nitinol, titanium and numerous other materials.
