| Specialising in the design and manufacture of process and shipping reels, Inosym Ltd, New Zealand, offers an extensive range of drums suitable for all types of wire and cable manufacturing process, including fine wire drawing, high-speed extrusion and lay-up stranding operations. The company has recently developed two new ABS reels: the 127mm boss-pintel and the fibre cable test flange. The recently released 500mm and 630mm diameter flange with a 127mm boss/pintel is now available and suitable for bunching, wire drawing and extrusion. Replacing the steel reel, the new 127mm boss/pintel ABS 500/630mm reels offer a number of advantages, such as operator handling, tension control, breaking force reduction, etc. Bosses/pintels are CNC machined.
The development of the �fibre-on-reel testing� ABS reel enables users to test the fibre cable immediately after the extrusion process. This new range is available as ABS 800 and 1,000mm reels. Inosym�s full range of ABS reels are available from 400 to 1,000mm. They are manufactured according to DIN 46395 or specified customer requirements and balanced to 3,000rpm. The flanges are made from Virgin Bayer ABS material with a unique design for superior strength and performance.
The company also offers steel reels manufactured according to international standards and available in a number of design options, including fully machined reels (for fine wire drawing and bunching); semi-machined reels (for wire drawing, bunching, lay-up), process reels (for extrusion, lay-up, coiling), steel drums cabling (for lay-up, extrusion), and shipping reels (dispatch).
