| Dyneon GmbH, Germany, a 3M company, has recently expanded its line of fluoropolymers with the addition of polyvinylidene fluoride, Dyneon� PVDF. This new addition to the family will supplement Dyneon�s extensive line of fluoroplastics, PTFE and monomers, as well as its fluoroelastomers and additives, sold under the brand names Dyneon� and Dynamar� Special Additives.
These materials are known for their virtually universal chemical resistance and their suitability for service over a broad range of temperatures. They are used primarily in the automobile, aerospace and chemical industries for sheathing the heating wires in seats, cables for xenon headlights and for lambda sensors in the exhaust-gas system. The Dyneon� range of raw materials can also be used for high-speed data lines.
