| Darius Technologies, France, has recently developed a new technology for packing wire in tapered (conical) drums. The drums can be nested in groups of 10 or more once empty. Empty drums require limited storage space and can be returned to the wire drawer's factory at a very low cost. According to the new process, the wire loops are arranged in a specific pattern that fits the drum's tapered shape. A specially adapted retainer ring ensures smooth, tangle-free unwinding. No equipment change is required, either at the producer's or at the end-user's location. This new patented process is expected to create a breakthrough in wire drawing technology.
Darius Technologies specialises in new product development in the metallurgical field. The company provides a range of services pertaining to product development, such as market studies, project management, searches for partnerships, promotion and communication, as well as staff training.
