| Filling materials can provide special product features, however, they are frequently difficult to process. Flow properties are typically poor, due to the forming of bridges and lumps. iNOEX GmbH, Germany, has recently extended its product line of gravimetric dosing systems by introducing a new type of weigher suited for processing such special materials. A flexible inner part is the key to the continuous flowing of filler materials. This inner part is permanently moving, generated by a pneumatic unit that prevents any material blocking. The contraction strength is related to the actual mass throughput, which is recorded gravimetrically as an absolute value. A constant feed rate of the dosing unit is thus achieved.
Quick acting closures permit an easy assembly and separation of the weigher funnel from the material supply. The closure unit remains on the support plate, which contributes to an easy change, and the fact that first absolute measuring values are obtained already when 98% of the filling level are reached. Such early measuring values mean that control starts early, which quickly leads to the required product quality. This new �igs-version� permits the exact dosing of poorly flowing materials, such as chalk, wood chips and fibres of 1 to 1,500kg per hour. As usual the �igs� can be combined with the visualisation unit �saveomat� to complete the automation system.
