| Decalub, France, provides its DCCD process and equipment for acid-free steel rod cleaning and surface preparation with virtually �zero energy consumption�. This process allows mechanically cleaned H/C rod to be processed in-line and drawn directly without pre-coating, at speeds reaching 18m/s, with spring wire quality. The process features the innovative LVC/PDH rod/wire dry-coating technology that enables an automatically controlled fusion of specific lubrication compounds, or their blends. Such a �liquefied� substance eliminates traditional pre-coatings and achieves an exceptionally adherent and consistent residual coat, adjustable in weight, at all speeds. This new coating / re-coating technology can achieve hard residual coat for spring wire, high-tensile rope wire, and similar products, as well as a light film, water soluble, for plating wire.
Decalub has also introduced the new in-line Pressure Wet Cleaning (PWC) system designed to clean lubricant residual from drawn wire for a smooth, glossy plating-quality finish at high speed (up to 14m/s), depending on wire size. The exceptional cleanliness permits direct zinc, brass and copper coatings on the wire. It excels for wire cleaning prior to heat treatment for applications that include patenting, welding (mesh and chain), cladding, etc.
