Dynamically balanced reels for wire and rod
GMP-Slovakia is a recently established company producing reels for drawing, stranding, bunching and transport, as well as collapsible reels, tilting and lifting devices for reels or coils, baskets for wire rod, pallets. The reels are designed either according to international standards and to meet customers� special requirements.

Of particular interest is the company�s series of MR reels (Massive Reel), suitable for steel wires and rods. The MR series, which can be dynamically balanced, is provided with hardened changeable bushings to prevent wear problems. The bushings are fixed to the hub by screws. The barrel is reinforced to support high-tension of the process, making it possible for the MR reels to carry up to 4 tonnes. Standard sizes are 800; 900; 1,000; 1,120 and 1,250 mm. In addition, the company offers a range of fully machined reels, series FM, that are designed for copper wire drawing process. The standard flange diameter sizes include 560, 630, 800 and 1,000mm. FM reels can also be designed according to customers� requirements. The FM series is dynamically balanced up to 40m/s and can be customised with paint, numbering or stencilled codes and letters.

Also available from GMP-Slovakia is a range of structural drums, series SD, that can be used for the storage of steel rods, as well as copper and aluminium cables. Dynamically balanced, the SD series can be hot-zinc coated to prevent rust problems. For drum-twisting process, the SD series is reinforced inside to support deformations due to the high-rotating speed of the process. The SD series of drums is available in sizes up to 4m � and can carry up to 20 tonnes.
