Of particular interest is the company�s recently developed high-speed stranding machine, model SV 250, designed to produce, with a maximum of 750 revolutions per minute of the stranding cage, very high-quality and regular strands out of wires with diameters ranging from � 0.1 to 0.5mm. This new machine strands the single wires under steady tension and gives the wires in one revolution only a simple stroke, thus producing an absolutely round and regular strand. The wires to be stranded come from the pay-off via ceramic eyelets of the distribution disk and a felt clamp to the pulley. A system of changing pulleys allows a pitch range from 4.5 to 35mm. If the strand is ready, it is lead to the take-up spool in the direction of the achsle of the stranding cage. The take-up bearing is moved by a cross-bearing mandril, according to the inside diameter. A break device outside of the machine affects the take-up. It can be regulated during operation, thus the take-up tension can be adjusted. The model SV 250 can operate alternatively with a clockwise and anti-clockwise stranding stroke. The stranding cage is perfectly balanced with the rotating parts and all high-speed parts feature a ball-bearing.
