| Joachim Uhing GmbH & Co KG, Germany, a manufacturer of rolling ring traversing systems for winding applications, has recently announced the introduction of U-Clip, a new shaft collar for smooth shafts and tubes that provides high-clamping forces, as well as a simple and low price alternative when used with the company�s Easylock� fast-action clamping system. Like a bushing, the new U-Clip is pushed forward against the component to be fixed and it automatically locks into position, providing a high-self locking force compared to ball systems with inclined level. To release, just pull the clamping ring towards the user.
4 models of U-Clip are already available for 10, 12, 15 and 16mm � products. On customers request, other sizes can be released. The new U-Clip is suitable for positioning on rotating and non-rotating shafts (such as winding-up and paying-off units), fixing components on shafts, as well as for quick adjustment for material guiding (such as packaging machines).
