Specialised extrusion gas injection system for foam extrusion
Fine International Corp, USA, a company specialising in the design and manufacture of a full line of extrusion equipment for the wire and cable industry, has recently launched the Model N2-400 Gas Injection System that is suitable for foam extrusion. This new model provides all of the necessary equipment to deliver a high-pressure nitrogen supply (400 bar) into a foam extruder for the preparation of gas injected foam suitable for coaxial, LAN and RF cable. The system is all self-contained and couples into the extruder through innovative hardware that prevents the polymer melt from entering into the gas entrance stream. The system is equipped with PRECISEFLOW, a gas-metering device that controls the amount of nitrogen gas delivered into the extruder. The system is suitable for a wide range of polymers including PE, PP and FEP.
