| AIM (Automated Industrial Machinery) Inc., USA, has recently introduced its new line of modular CNC wire bending machines, series AFM-2D and AFM-3D, that provide a highly flexible wire bending system, which grows with customer�s needs. Modules can be easily added at any time for in-line chamfering, roll or cut thread, stamping, and piercing. All machines are available in wire ranges of 6.4, 8, 12 and 16mm.
The new AFM-2D series feature the Value Line, fixed table and standard AccuForm, tilting table versions. The standard table size provides bending clearance for frames measuring 1,320mm with an optional extension for 1,830mm frames. Both single-stage and Turret Head multiple mandrel indexing tool changer are available to provide even more flexibility in wire forming capability. Automatic butt-welders can be supplied for both fixed and tilt-table versions. All AFM-3D machines have unlimited rotation of the bending arm which can be extended for provide a bend-back clearance of 1m. The AccuRobot pick and place system for 3D benders comes in single axis or 4, 5 and 6 axes. Other options and accessories include ultra high-speed servos, stand-alone threading units, parts support table and automatic indexing multiple straightener mount.
All 2D and 3D machines with the Turret Head option are available with tooling for flat, square and shaped wire. Tool changeover time for these indexing tool changers is only 8 minutes saving countless hours of non-productive set-up time.
