It is a completely portable hand tool, which can strip up to 4 levels in less than 5 seconds. It is widely used by major US telecoms for installation of 734, 735, RG58, RG59, and HDTV-cables used in central offices. The tool operates with either a rechargeable Ni-Cad battery or an A/C power supply. The model 824 can also be used to strip up to 0.141" semi-rigid cable in microwave tower installations. It is suitable for home entertainment, network and lighting installers. With its one-step stripping action, the model 824 is an ergonomic solution for remote or field cable installation jobs. It is designed and built for rugged field use. A bench model 1246 is also available for in-house production.
In addition, the company also offers FybRglass� stripping wheels for magnet and film insulated wires ranging from 45 to 48 AWG. The stripping wheels, when used on Eraser's model RT2S, quickly remove insulation without contaminating or flattening the conductors. The unique design allows close-to-coil body wire stripping. Multiple wires may be processed simultaneously. The wheels are cleaned with a wheel dresser for increased wheel-life and maximum functionality. Eraser also makes stripping wheels to fit all competitive machines as well as for all Eraser models.
