| Neptco Inc., a leading manufacturer of composite strength members, outside plant products, and flexible products for the wire and cable industry, will be featuring ARAGLASS� at wire Singapore 2003. This new product is the latest addition to the company�s popular LIGHTLINE� range of products, which includes flexible and economical E-glass strength elements. Designed to provide a cost-effective alternative to aramid yarns, ARAGLASS can be used in a variety of cable designs and offers strength, flexibility, and thermal resistance in a composite which can be handled easily by operators and cable installers.
When tested against aramid yarns, ARAGLASS offered superior results in both reducing smoke generation and retarding flame. These attributes may assist cable manufacturers in passing burn tests to obtain riser or plenum ratings. ARAGLASS is produced from readily available materials, and is offered in standard and water blocking versions, both of which are available in natural and yellow colours. The new product is available in various deniers, with long put-ups on standard industry cores.
Neptco Inc. also offers multi-ply shielding tape laminates, heat seal and pressure-sensitive coated films and laminates, lubricated tapes for location and installation of dielectric cables, as well as dielectric fibre glass-reinforced plastic (FRP/GRP) rod.
