| With over 35 years sales and servicing experience in the wire and cable industry, Techna International, UK, provides the industry with, among others, traverse winders, linear drives, spool/shaft clamping systems, as well as hysteresis brakes and clutches. As part of its expansion programme, the company has recently added a new range of air wipes to its portfolio. This new range comprises 7 models that are suitable for wire diameters ranging from 0.6 to 38mm. They are designed for the removal of unwanted liquids from the surface of product in wire drawing, continuous resistance annealing and extrusion lines.
In addition, the company�s extended portfolio includes:
- Breaking elongation testers for maximum elongation trials and non-destructive trials of soft wires from 0.07 to 2.5mm �, with electronic digital reading of percentage elongation;
- Rotary die holders and lubricant applicators to improve die life and reduce running costs, especially for mechanically descaled low and high-carbon steel contact wires;
- Tilting units for the easy lifting and tilting of reels and spools, in wire and cable production and stores;
