| Fine International Corp., USA, designer and manufacturer of a full line of extrusion equipment for the wire and cable industry, has recently introduced its model N2-400 gas injection system for foam extrusion. The new model provides all the necessary equipment to deliver a high-pressure nitrogen supply (400 bar) into a foam extruder for the preparation of gas injected foam suitable for coaxial, LAN and RF cables.
The system is all self-contained and couples into the extruder through innovative hardware that prevents the polymer melt from entering into the gas entrance stream. The system is equipped with PRECISEFLOW, a gas metering device that controls the amount of nitrogen gas delivered into the extruder. The system is suitable for a wide range of polymers, including PE, PP and FEP.
