VXI Technology Inc, USA, a global supplier of high-density modular test solutions, has recently announced the expansion of its portfolio of high-density SMIPII� (Switch Modularity & Interface Platform) by launching two new high-density coaxial tree relay modules:
- The SMP6103: a high-density 1x31 coaxial tree with a bandwidth exceeding 750MHz;
- The SMP6301 that incorporates four 1x4 coaxial trees with a bandwidth in excess of 1.8GHz.
Both modules exhibit excellent crosstalk and isolation characteristics. Both modules are also configured to avoid unterminated stub effects, thus improving signal integrity and permitting larger high-frequency multiplexer configurations to be implemented without sacrificing bandwidth and VSWR. In addition, these modules can be combined with other SMIPII� modules to configure even larger high-density switch systems. �The SMIPII� modular switch platform now has over 15 coaxial switch modules under 2GHz that, combined with VXI Technology's RF and microwave design experience, continue to make us the selected source for customers' RF switching applications�, commented Mr Jon Semancik of VXI Technology.
These new modules are ideal for general purpose RF switching with high signal fidelity, and can be mixed and matched with other SMIPII� modules to create application specific configurations.
