Rymer Engineering, UK, has a long experience with the manufacture of electric resistance wire butt welding machines and can offer a high-quality service to existing and new customers. After the recent acquisition of the butt welding interests of Johnson Technology, UK, Rymer Engineering offers the "Microwelder" range of machines, which includes the "EH" and the "SG" series of wire welding machine. Simple to operate and adaptable for round, flats, & shaped wires, the EH series comprises:
- The model EH1 (wire  ranging from 0.9 to 5.0mm);
- The model EH2 (wire  ranging from 3.0 to 8.0mm);
- The model EH3 (wire  ranging from 0.9 to 5.0mm);
- The model EHC non-ferrous (wire ranging from 0.9 to 5.4mm).
The EH series of butt welding machines is portable, easy-to-handle, light and compact. It features an optional electric grinder for burr removal. The Microwelder is supplied mounted on a wheeled trolley for ease of portability. With foot operated pedals, the operator can open or close the clamping jaws separately or together, thus leaving both hands free to set the ends of the wire to be welded. Standard models are fitted with an electric lamp to assist the operator, which automatically comes on when the machine is connected to the electrical supply. The movement of the electrodes is controlled by enclosed parallel guides which ensure that the finest and heaviest wires are always welded in alignment. One set of standard electrodes cover the complete welding capacity of the machine.
The Microwelder SG series is fitted with a wire cutter to ensure the wire ends are square. The movement of the electrodes is controlled by enclosed parallel guides which ensure that the finest and heaviest wires are welded in alignment. One set of standard electrodes cover the complete welding capacity of the machine. Regulation of the welding or annealing current is controlled by means of a 6-step heat switch. The SG series comprises:
- The model SG1 (wire  ranging from 0.3 to 1.0mm);
- The model SG2 (wire  ranging from 0.5 to 2.0mm);
- The model SG3 non-ferrous (wire  ranging from 0.5 to 3.5mm).
