For 70 years, August Strecker GmbH has been specialising in the manufacture of electric buttwelding machines for the wire and cable industry. The company�s portfolio includes:
- Buttwelding machines for all kinds of wires, sizing from 0.04 up to 32mm � for steel and up to 34mm � for solid non-ferrous wires, including welders with automatic deburring cycle. Various annealing devices are available for steel wires;
- Buttwelders for standard conductors sizing from 0.08 up to 2,000mm2. Welding by means of tubes or without any tube (with automatic deburring);
- Cold pressure buttwelders with automatic deburring cycles;
- Wide specialised range for the most varied applications and special purpose machines.
As a result of recent developments, Strecker now can offer buttwelding by medium frequency, e.g. working at 1kHz, with 3-phase current supply. This means that no single phase load of the main supply is necessary and the absorbed amperage during a welding cycle is substantially reduced, making it easier the fuse protection, especially for bigger buttwelding machines having a capacity of 100kVA or more.
