Accurate stirrup bending machines
The Stema/Pedax Group, Denmark, manufactures machinery and systems for rebar processing, providing the industry with a portfolio of machines including double bending systems, straightening and shearing machines, bending and shearing machines for reinforcing steel, mobile and stationary shearing machines, high-performance shearing lines, transport systems, as well as machines and systems for the economical processing of wire mesh.

Of particular interest, is the companys high-performance automatic stirrup bending machine, Twinmaster 16 that works with double wire from 6 to 12mm coils and single wire 16mm . The machine is equipped with a new optimised screen, a new heavy duty shear, new pressure loaded proportional hydraulics, which ensures high-productivity and optimal drawing power for all wire diameters. In combination with the new STEMA- double bending unit equipped with a second integrated bending head, the companys anti-twist system and the new SRFU (Stress Release Feeding Unit) for accurate straightening results, all bend shapes in diameters from 6 to 16mm and in double wire up to 12mm (12.5mm) can be produced. The standard version of the Twinmaster features advantages such as automatic adjustment of the straightening units, potentiometer for speed and bending angle correction as well as optimal results with spooled and non-spooled coil material, hot-rolled or cold-drawn quality.

Stema also offers its model The Twinmaster 16 II that represents the very latest in straightening and feeding technology of hot rolled rebar in coils with square, round or oval profiles in diameters ranging from 6 to 16mm, and in double wire up to 12mm (12.5mm). The SRFU unit has been fully integrated as standard equipment into the new machine. The stress and twist tendencies in hot-rolled-steel in coils are removed and the straightening of two wires has become much easier. Even wire of inferior quality can be straightened without difficulty. This new system can produce large shapes with bent ends lying flat on the floor. Due to the newly designed front shape of the machine, the improved cutting and bending system and the proven anti-twist straightening roller, the Twinmaster 16 II can perfectly produce closed, non-twisted stirrups and shapes from any grade of hot-rolled wire. In addition, the Twinmaster 16 II incorporates several features as standard equipment, such as automatic straightening adjustment, potentiometer for speed and bending as well as an angle correction and anti-twist adjustment roller.

Furthermore, Stema has launched its new series of straightening and cutting machines, series UNICUT 14XV, that processes rebar in coils from 6 up to 14mm and works with hot-rolled or cold-drawn reinforcing steel in coils, spooled as wells as unspooled. The UNICUT offers all the Stema standard features such as automatic adjustable straightening device during production, automatic adjustment of the straightening units by wire change, easy-to-operate PC-control which can be downloaded in BVBS-format (PDF-Code), feeding speed up to 180m/min and automatic wire change, as an option. The machine can be delivered with a standard bench of 12m and 4 universal pay-off reels.
