| Specialising in the design and manufacture of wire bending machines, Whitelegg Machines Ltd, UK, has recently announced the introduction of its latest version of the CFM-6010, CNC 6mm wire forming and welding machine that now offers a host of new and enhanced features. The new version is designed to produce both unwelded and butt-welded components, direct from coil. It incorporates new increased power servo-drives and an updated pneumatic system that contribute to a 10% increase in overall production speed. Among the many other system enhancements, an improved can design allows quieter operation and the CNC-computer, now with high-definition touch-screen, is mounted on a swinging arm for easier operator view and control via enhanced Windows-based software. For added production efficiency, a modem is incorporated for remote diagnostics of all functions.
The CFM-6010 machines canbe equipped with tooling for both wire and profiled materials. The particular advantages of the equipment is that easy programming and unlimited data storage facilities allow both simple and complex components to be produced without any special tooling. The most popular products produced on these machines are welded rings and rectangular frames. Many other forms are used ion point-of-sale display stands, supermarket trolleys and baskets, air filters, lampshades, furniture, components for automotive and agricultural products and an infinite variety of other applications.
