| Specialising in reeling (spooling) or coiling, tubing and extruded profiles with traverse winding and pay-off equipment, Progressive Machine Co. Inc., USA, introduces its model 604 pay-off station that can be set-up as a �master� or �slave� for line speed control. The uncoiler may feed single or multiple coils. The machine is also equipped with an emergency stop which energises a magnetic brake to rapidly stop the spindle rotation.
The machine ranges in coil capacity from 1,000 to 2,000 pounds. Various shaft diameters (2�, 3 1/2� or 3�) can be chosen in either cantilevered type for mounting coils or dual supported for mounting spools, with running speeds up to 500 feet per minute. The model 604 unwind system can accommodate existing expansion head or an optional hydraulically operated expansion head can be provided. Optional remote STC (Speed Tension Control) dancer systems or ultrasonic sensors are also available to induce too much tension into delicate materials.
