| Consisting of SAMP, SAMP Extrusion and SAMP Steel, the Italian group SAMP Sistemi has recently introduced at Wire Asia Shanghai a new series of double twist bunchers that feature smaller cradles and more compact bows, which reduce the stress on the bunch/strand for higher speeds and more relevant productivity. The closed bows with ceramic plates (SAMP patent) eliminate the wind drag on the strand. The rotors feature large ceramic pulleys which are shielded from the air turbulence. They are mounted on for life lubricated bearings (developed from the aerospace industry) to ensure minimum friction. The take-up pull and the other machine functions are efficiently controlled by a microprocessor system. This system also automatically controls the variation of the reel moment of inertia during the winding process. During the exhibition, the Italian group showcased an example of this new technology by displaying a double twist bunching machine model BM/630-D with motor-driven pay-off model SMO63.
In addition, SAMP Sistemi exhibited a skin foam skin extrusion group designed for gas-injection physical foamed FEP (fluoropolymer) and suitable for the insulation of Cat. 5 and 6 LAN cables or for micro-coaxial cables. The main extruder of this system is a TEF45-32D while the inner/outer skin extruders are TEF35-25D. The extrusion head is a triple layer and barrels feature bimetallic linings and corrosion resistance outer surface. The barrel heating systems are suitable for temperatures of up-to 500C.
