| AlphaGary Corporation, USA, a leading manufacturer of speciality compounds, has recently announced the retirement of industry veteran, John "Jack" Rasmus, after his 13 years of service at the company and his 36 years in the plastics industry. Mr Rasmus was most recently director of North American sales at AlphaGary where he had overall responsibility for sales performance, customer service, and managing major customer accounts. In 1990 he joined Gary Corp. (which later became AlphaGary) as a regional sales manager. He was promoted to national accounts manager, then vice-president sales in 1995. In honour of his many achievements in the wire and cable industry, Mr Rasmus received the Charles Scott Distinguished Career Award in 1996. Mr Robert Gingue, president and CEO, said: �Jack's dedication and inspiration will be missed, and all of the AlphaGary family wishes Jack a very happy and relaxing retirement.
