| Specialising in continuous casting technology for non-ferrous metals, Rautomead International Ltd, UK, has recently appointed Mr Bagher Padidar, a graduate engineer, creating thus a new post of Middle East service engineer, based in Tehran, Iran. Mr Padidar recently visited Rautomead�s headquarters in Dundee for training in the operation and maintenance of Rautomead continuous casting equipment.
Iran has proved to be a good market for Rautomead. Five upwards vertical copper rod casting machines have been installed there since 1995 with an aggregate production capacity of 25,000 tonnes per years. In addition, Rautomead received an order from a Tehran-based company for two horizontal casting machines, models RT 650 and RMK 030, that are designed for the production of hollow bars in brass and bronze. These machines were built in Dundee and shipped in June 2002.
