The Wire and Cable Manufacturers’ Alliance (WCMA), USA, formerly Wire and Cable Clubs of America, has announced the recipients of its 2005 Charles Scott Distinguished Career Award.
The recipients are: Richard Brill – Vice President, Purchasing, Okonite Co;
Kevin Buchanan – President, Fluoropolymer Resources, Inc; Pete Ernenwein – Corporate Operations, International Wire (retired); John Gibson – Senior VP Operations and Technology, Berk-Tek, Nexans; Joe Hennessy – Vice President, Operations, Harbour Industries; Jack Manning – Director of Purchasing, Draka USA; Art Raymond – Vice President of Manufacturing, Montrose/ CDT; Louis Roberts – Quality Manager, Leoni Wire; and Bernard Schilberg – CEO, Prime Materials Recovery.
The WCMA is continuing a 20-year
long tradition of recognising industry professionals. The Award was established in 1985 by the late Dick and Harriet Callahan in memory of Charles Scott, founder and president of Northeast Wire. Scott was known and respected by his industry peers for his contributions
as a company owner and advocate of
the wire and cable industry. Following
a nomination process, a Selection Committee of eighty previous Award winners chooses new recipients – people who, in their opinions, have made significant contributions over a minimum 25-year industry career.
The WCMA is a corporate membership organisation for manufacturers of conductor, insulated wire, cables, fibre optic cables, and connectivity products with an established manufacturing base
in North America, as well as industry suppliers and service providers.
