Joint venture in China for Techint and Simest
Techint and Simest, the Italian Government agency that promotes Italian investment abroad, have recently established China Metals Processing HK Ltd in Hong Kong.
This company will be the major share-holder of the joint venture Tianjin International Modern Equipment Company Ltd (TIMEC), located in Tianjin Tanggu, China.
TIMEC will work as the Chinese manufacturer of iron and steel equipment and machinery for Techint, including electric arc furnaces, reheating furnaces and material handling equipment. The new joint venture will combine Italian technical know-how and quality control, within a Chinese industrial environment.
TIMEC’s first factory is expected to be completed by the end of October 2005 with an initial workforce of 150 employees.
