Dr. Joachim Schönbeck joins management of the SMS group and becomes Chairman of SMS Meer GmbH
Dr Joachim Schönbeck (40), formerly a Division Head at SMS Demag AG, has moved to the management of SMS Meer GmbH in Mönchengladbach. He will assume the chairmanship from Dr Helmut Fricke on January 1st 2005, when Dr Fricke retires.
Additionally, Dr. Schönbeck was appointed to the management of SMS GmbH, the holding of the SMS group, on October 1st 2005. That makes him responsible for the entire Tube, Section and Forging Technology Business Area, including the companies SMS Meer, SMS Eumuco and SMS Elotherm.
