High Flyers
Flying high on its 60th anniversary and with more than 40 years as UK Agents and Distributors for a number of World leading manufacturers of ancillary equipment for the Wire and Cable industries, Techna International has concluded an Agreement to represent MOBAC GmbH., in the UK market.
Techna will handle Mobac’s entire ranges of Wire Payoffs and Take Ups, including single and multiple Flyer Payoff frames, flyers for insertion into bobbins, high-speed flyer payoffs, flyers with tension control, Dancer Accumulators, coil payoffs, payoff baskets, tangential payoffs, spoolers and winders, together with a full range of accessories and spares.
Flyers come in a wide range of sizes, to suit varying spool dimensions and requirements and are provided with various braking systems such as, rolling friction brakes, braking control by centrifugal force, combined rolling friction and friction brakes, hysteresis brakes or magnetic particle brakes.
These products will complement Techna’s existing ranges of Rolling Ring Linear Drives, shaft collars and spool retainers, wire and cable guides, hysteresis brakes, Permanent-magnet synchronous clutches, barrier clutches and Zero-backlash Servo Couplings including miniature, metal bellows, servo-insert, and safety couplings.
The Tangential Payoff Frame type AT12-200 / 560Y is equipped with hysteresis brakes and the “Uhing Easylock” shaft clamping system. Various pulleys, ceramic bushings or tungsten-carbide bushings are used depending on the wire material to be payed off. Flange diameters can be from 200 to 560mm with winding speed up to 250 M/min. and wire tension from 3N to a maximum of 60N.
Wire diameters are 0.0 to 2.5mm for Copper / Aluminium wires, 1.2mm max. for hard steel wire, and 1.5mm max. for soft steel wire.
The double-spool Take Up type TU 280-2 is available with spindle speeds of 0 to 500, 0 to 1500, 0 TO 3000 and 0 to 5000r.p.m. and will handle wire diameters of 0.3 to 11mm, with a maximum spool weight of 50kg and a maximum traverse distance of 160mm.
