Telecommunication cable turnkey contracts in Tanzania
Draka Holding NV, The Netherlands, has recently announced that its product group Draka Comteq has been awarded a large turnkey project, worth €25 million, in Tanzania. Along with another project, the total value of work in Tanzania is expected to be some €30 million in the next two years. The new projects relates to the supply and installation of two long-distance links, one carried on the pylons of a high-tension network and one laid alongside a railway line, involving a total of about 2,300km of optical fibre cables and about 500km of optical power ground wires (OPGW).
