Davis-Standard relocates its technical centre
Davis-Standard Corp., USA, has announced the centralisation of its development resources by moving its technical centre at its headquarters. The move will make better use of Davis-Standard facilities and better accommodate customer requirements for testing and trials. Slated for completion in early September, the relocation will integrate research and development activities into a 2,320m2 space, fully equipped for extrusion trials as well as line commissioning. Davis-Standard will have the capacity to test extrusion systems in excess of 43 meter long with complete facilities to conduct process trials across all product lines.
Principal technical centre capabilities include extruders ranging from 11/2 to 41/2 inches (40 to 115mm), as well as a 90mm groove feed extruder and 90mm rubber extruder. Extruders have a barrel extension for 24:1, 30:1 and 34:1 operation. Multiple-screw designs in a range of sizes are also available.
