Belden secures prestigious RoSPA award

Global cable manufacturer Belden, UK, has recently been awarded a prestigious occupational health and safety award from RoSPA (The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents). The company collected the silver award for its effective health and safety management systems and fine record when it comes to the prevention of accidents within the workplace. The award was presented during the Health and Safety Expo 2004 in an event at the Metropole Hilton Hotel in Birmingham, UK, hosted by RoSPA vice-president Lord Brougham & Vaux CBE. Mr Clive Boyes, Belden engineering manager, commented: “This is the result of a great deal of hard work, endeavour and commitment from all Belden employees, as well as a highly developed health and safety management system”.

As an established market leader in the manufacture, supply and distribution of wire and cable technologies Belden supplies a portfolio of over 10,000 cabling solutions for a wide range of sectors including telecommunications, industrial, IT networking, medical, home entertainment, electrical and live media. Belden supplies enough kilometres of cable on a weekly basis to reach the Moon and back. Over a year that translates as laying a cable that would reach the planet Venus.
