CORPORATE NEWS:
Whitelegg sells machines during wire Düsseldorf 2004
Specialising in the design and manufacture of wire bending machines, Whitelegg Machines Ltd, UK, has reported a very successful wire Düsseldorf show, although noticing fewer visitors compared with the 2002 show. The company exhibited on a larger stand, allowing more customers to circulate and enabling the company to show even more machines. Whitelegg demonstrated the latest version of its automatic wire bending and welding machine, model CFM-610-TWR, fitted with a secondary bend-head with two axis that allows accurate and close-pitched bends with several different radii. The secondary bend-head can also be used in conjunction with the standard bend-head in making the same component, thereby reducing the production time. The user-friendly pictorial touchscreen enhances the ease of setting for new components. The exhibited machine was sold during the show to a Canadian company.
Whitelegg also exhibited its new universal wire bending machine, model FB-1010, designed for the production of small and large fan guard spirals, long serpentine shapes and an infinite variety of wire components with diameters ranging from 3.0 to 10.0mm. The company’s HIT-28 CNC high-speed compression spring coiling machine, suitable for wire diameters ranging from 0.8 to 2.8mm, was also on display and was sold during the show to a UK customer. In addition, the company exhibited the new 16-axis HCM-20 camless spring generator with servo-driven forming slides and spinners to automatically produce complex springs. This machine is suitable for wire diameters ranging from 0.4 to 2.6mm and larger models are also available.
