Pourtier delivers its 83rd rigid stranding line
Having many years experience in the development of machines for the production of cables, Pourtier, France, part of Gauder Group, Belgium, designs and manufactures a variety of equipment that is used at different stages of the process. The company has recently announced delivery of its 83rd rigid stranding machine, model RFS 630. Pourtier also announced that 3 additional machines have been recently ordered. The RFS 630 machines feature the latest technology, in particular for cage synchronisation and bobbins braking. They are suitable for copper, aluminium (AAC), aluminium alloy (AAAC), as well as aluminium steel reinforced (ACSR) cables. A special design is also available for trapezoidal wire construction (trapwire TW), as well as Z-profile wire for closed conductor section.
A new range of compacting heads for sections up to 2,000mm2 has also been developed. This range is suitable for compacting round and sector cores (straight or pre-spiralled) with availability of roller design on. In addition, Pourtier has introduced a new a rigid stranding line, model RFS 630-MW, that uses multi-wire bobbins. Suitable for screening of power cables, the line has been launched at wire Düsseldorf 2004.
