Long-term agreement between Pirelli and Draka
Draka Holding NV, The Netherlands, and Pirelli Cables Ltd, UK, part of Pirelli Group, a manufacturer of energy cables and systems, telecommunications cables and systems and tyres, have recently signed a long-term agreement, effective 4th March 2004, pursuant to which Pirelli will supply to Draka UK Ltd certain low-voltage cables for the UK market. Thanks to the agreement, Pirelli will optimise production capacity at its site in Aberdare, South Wales, capitalising on scale economies in a high-competitive business segment.
