CORPORATE NEWS:
Successful exhibition for Gauder Group
Gauder Group, Belgium, one of the leading specialists in developing and marketing manufacturing systems for cables and fibre optic cables, has reported a successful exhibition at wire Düsseldorf 2004, where more than 15% of visitors were new prospects. Through a newly designed stand, the group exhibited its latest concepts in rotating machines development: multi-wire stranding and triple-twist technology.
To allow cable makers to fully take advantage of all possibilities offered by the multi-wire process, Pourtier-Gauder Group presented a line of specially adapted machines designed for the screening of power cables, and comprising a concentric screening head, type TEC 630, as well as a rigid cage strander, model RFS 12/630 DIN. Setic-Gauder Group presented a revolutionary quadruple-twist solution, made possible through the combination of 2 specially designed double-twist machines (TBI 630i and TC 630i models). This combination enables to reach very high-production speeds (up to 12,000 twists per minute). Setic also introduced a new solution for tandemisation/bunching - insulation, developed thanks to its “in-out” machine (model TBI 630i) containing a bobbin with multi-wire, and delivering bunched strands directly into the extrusion or the CV-line.
The patented triple-twist technology is now the most economical solution for the production of LAN cables (Cat. 6, 6+, 7, 8) with the highest performances and speeds (30 to 50% higher than any other method). At wire Düsseldorf, Setic-Gauder Group presented its newly developed machines of the latest generation:
- For the “one-step” process (twinning and cabling in one operation): the model G3T560, a triple-twist group-twinner which is available for the first time;
- For the “two-step” process (twinning and cabling separately): the “all-in-one” triple-twist twinner VTT 560;
- To upgrade existing twinning lines: the triple-twist pay-off DHD TT 560 can be installed with conventional horizontal twinner, new or existing.
Gauder Group reports that several contracts were signed during the show and new negotiations were initiated, as well as numerous appointments for trial runs. The shuttle service to the second-hand machines stock in Belgium was a success too, with nearly 200 visitors.
