Ideal-Werk acquires Clifford
Ideal-Werk, Germany, a leading manufacturer of resistance welding machines for the wire and cable industry, has announced the acquisition of Clifford Engineering, South Africa, a supplier of reinforcing mesh welders, industrial mesh welders and wire working machinery. This acquisition will result in an expanded product range and more than a century of experience.
The complete range of Clifford machinery, including spare parts and service will continue to be offered by Clifford, South Africa. Design and manufacture of Clifford machines will continue in South Africa, as was the case previously. The existing sales and service personnel of both companies will be working in close co-operation, to give the best customer service to the complete range of Clifford and Ideal-Werk machines. The combined experience, expertise and product range will enable both companies to offer un-paralleled equipment and service to the users of mesh welding and wire working equipment world-wide. The management of both companies is totally committed to using the combined strengths of the two businesses to provide customers with superior products and service, while ensuring that offerings are cost-efficient.
