SMS now holds the entire Concast Group
SMS GmbH, Germany, the holding company of the SMS group, has recently acquired the remaining 30% of Concast AG, Switzerland, from the company’s co-founder and longstanding managing partner, Dr. Heinrich Tanner. The Concast Group is well-known as a global leading supplier of billet continuous casters for the steel industry, as well as complete plants for the manufacture of long products, including electric arc furnaces and degassers. Even though the Concast Group now fully belongs to the SMS group, it will continue to operate as a self-standing brand.
