High-quality copper in Australia
Specialising in continuous casting technology, Rautomead International Ltd, UK, has recently been awarded a contract by Tycan Australia Pty Ltd for the supply of its RS 3000 model upward vertical continuous casting machine. With a capacity of 6,000 tonnes per year, the machine will provide Tycan with its own secure supply of copper rod. Tycan will have “in-house control” of all manufacture process costs, control of delivery of rod to its drawing facility, as well as control of its own rod quality. The casting equipment is configured for the production of 8.0mm diameter rods at 5.0m/min.
