Morgan to upgrade Moroccan rod mill
Morgan Construction Co, USA, a designer and producer of high-quality rolling mill products and services for the metal industry world-wide, received a contract from Groupe Sonasid, Morocco, to upgrade the company's single-strand rod mill. The upgrade will consist of modifications to both the roughing mill stands and the No-Twist® Mill, which will increase the capacity of the Nador plant to roll larger billets at an increased output. When completed, the upgrade, in combination with other equipment additions Groupe Sonasid has already made, will enable the company to increase its production output on key products by as much as 25%. The upgrade is expected to be completed by August 2004.
